What do you think about eating low fat instead of low carbo? I have tried the low carbo version and I felt like I had no energy. I am an endurance athlete.
What do you think? |

| IMHO, it all depends on what works for YOU and what you can stick with the best. |

This conversation is the type of debate that could go on for hours because there as so many differing opinions. In my case, I go with the physiology of the human body.
1) Your body's PREFERRED source of energy is carbohydrates.
2) You body CANNOT process excess fat, thus it must be stored as bodyfat.
Net result: Low Fat is better than Low Carb.
That is, of course, just my opinion, and it is said with the caveat that you still need ENOUGH fat (10 - 20%) of your diet, and not all carbs are good carbs. Stay away from sugary, simple carbs, and stick with complex carbs from high grain breads and cereals, and also get plenty of fibrous carbs from fruits and vegetables.

As a dietitian I can tell you I agree with the low fat is by far better than low carb.
And not just for wt loss either - it is much healthier for your body |
